Day 8 – Changes! Oh Yeah!
Today is Day 8 of good choices and of good changes in my life.
Change #1 – No added salt. In the last six months or so I have been adding salt to everything I eat, never been that way before in my life. So, I decided not to add any salt to my food. May sound like a small change, but it’s big for me. I want to beat high blood pressure before it comes knocking at my door. Both my parents have high blood pressure.
Change #2 – I’m going back to diet coke. I worked really hard to kick that habit back in 2008 but I went to sweet tea and that’s not working for me. Eventually I want to drink water exclusively so I feel this is a good start.
In my quest to make good changes, I have eaten (for the most part) salad and tuna for the last 8 days. I feel this is what my body wants and needs. Even if I don’t take off a few pounds, I will feel more confident in my food choices, I’ll feel like I’m being pro-active in my life.

This one is “dead to the world” as my Granny Emma would say. Not really dead just conked out.

Flower and her 8! kittens. She is only 6 months old herself. She is doing a great job to be so young. Hope they all survive. Getting her fixed immediately (sp?) after weaning!
